“I am a second-year student at Haapsalu Vocational Education and Training Centre, studying to become a nature guide. Alongside my interest in legal work, I have always enjoyed spending time in nature and hiking, whether on foot, by bicycle, by canoe, or on a paddleboard. I have completed the 30-kilometer Scouts’ Hike multiple times and have swum from Muhu to Saaremaa.”
Galina Holmar
“I am a master’s student in Nature Tourism at the Estonian University of Life Sciences and a fitness trainer. I have spent 21 years working in logistics for various international companies. My hobbies include traveling, hiking in nature, cooking, and crafting.”
Kaarel Kuslap
“I am currently in my first year studying to become a hiking guide at Luua Forestry School. Additionally, I am a certified hiking coach. I am a passionate hiker and adventurer, and for the past two years, I have worked as a tour guide for alpine hikes at Elamus Pluss OÜ. I have summited peaks over 4000 meters 19 times and have reached over 5000 meters once.”
In Estonia, you can study various disciplines that prepare you to work with people in nature. We welcome students from all these programs to apply for internships. The internship at Wanderlust lasts for one academic year, during which interns will accompany guides and instructors and assist in organizing various hikes and events. The next competition for internships at Wanderlust will be in the fall of 2024. If you are trained or experienced as a hiking guide, nature guide, or active pursuits instructor and wish to join Wanderlust, please get in touch with us!
