The Viimsi Peninsula was once home to fishing villages. Now, you can walk through ancient forests, along the coastline of the Baltic Sea, and stand beside a giant glacial boulder.
Viimsi Peninsula tour
During Soviet times, this area was a border zone, and the moss-covered ruins in the forest tell stories of the past. It’s curious to think that so close to Tallinn there was once a storage site for nuclear warheads, which you can now easily explore.
