"Wrong turn"
What is “Wrong turn”?
Car orienteering is a team-based orienteering game where the objective is to pass through as many checkpoints and gather as many points as possible within a specified time limit. Different checkpoints give a different number of points, depending on their location and technical difficulty.
“Wrong turn” is, in essence, an adventure game with an aim to spend time in a competitive and entertaining manner. In addition to the entertaining element, our games also present a perfect opportunity to get the employees of an organisation and teams to work towards the same goal. A smartphone or tablet is required to display the checkpoints and questions.
How does it work?
The teams will be informed of the starting and finishing location and the closing time of the finish. The game begins at the starting location where the mobile app, game rules and different strategies are explained and the contestants are sent off.
After sending off the contestants, the game manager goes to a prepared video studio where they will comment and run the game.
Each team can listen to or view a direct broadcast from the game master’s headquarters through Facebook LIVE or Youtube by using their smart device or walkie-talkies. The game manager can send hints, activate secret points and give tasks for earning extra points. The participants can use the group chat to share their emotions throughout the game. The game manager also gives recaps on team locations and scores and provides some background information on different teams on the basis of information that the contestants or the person who ordered the game have submitted beforehand.
What are checkpoints?
The objective of the game is to collect as many points as possible and the amount of points a task gives depends on the level of difficulty.
Tasks that could give points: reaching the location, a simple puzzle, taking a photo of the location, geocache location, solving a physical task.
Where can the game be held?
Every game is unique and organized according to the customer’s wishes. We can organize these games across Estonia. We can also start and finish the game in the same location (for example, at an accommodation or cultural facility) or create a route that starts from point A and finishes in point B.

Additional information
We have some recommendations to assure the best experience:
Clothing:
Although the contestants spend the majority of the game in their cars, it is reasonable to consider the weather forecast and your comfort level because you will spend time outside when solving the tasks in checkpoints. Layered clothing should be preferred so that you could remove or add layers as required.
Vehicle and driving:
Every team is responsible for the technical condition and insurance of their vehicle, their own safety and that of others and must drive according to traffic regulations.
