Adventure game “Live”
What is the “LIVE” adventure game?
“LIVE” is a team-based orienteering game where the objective is to pass through as many checkpoints and gather as many points as possible within a specified time limit. Different checkpoints give a different number of points, depending on their location and technical difficulty.
“LIVE” is, in essence, an adventure hike with the aim of spending time in a competitive and entertaining manner. In addition to the entertaining element, our games also present a perfect opportunity to get the employees of an organisation and teams to work towards the same goal.
How does it work?
The teams will be informed of the starting and finishing location and the closing time of the finish.
Necessary resources provided to participants:
- access to the game environment via a mobile app
- team help package that includes tools required to solve the tasks
The game begins at the starting location. The game manager will explain the game rules, different strategies and sends the contestants off.
This is the time when every team should decide on their strategy and start hunting for points. After sending off the contestants, the game manager goes to a prepared video studio to comment and run the game.
Each team can listen to or view a direct broadcast from the game manager’s headquarters through Facebook LIVE or Youtube by using their smart device or walkie-talkies. The game manager can send hints, activate secret points and give tasks for earning extra points. The game manager also gives recaps on team locations and scores and provides some background information on different teams on the basis of information that the contestants or the person who ordered the game have submitted beforehand.
What are checkpoints?
The objective of the game is to collect as many points as possible and the amount of points a task gives depends on the level of difficulty.
Tasks that could give points: reaching the location, a simple puzzle, taking a photo of the location, popular scientific question, geocache location, solving a physical task.
